Your support makes all the difference.Presidential nominee Donald Trump has described watching a “secret video” of Iranian officials unloading money from a plane, hours after receiving his security clearance.
Speaking to a crowd in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mr Trump claimed the tape showed money being taken off the plane and was provided by the Iranian government.
The video has not been made public, raising questions over whether Mr Trump should have been speaking about it at a rally.
He told the crowd: "Iran, I don’t think you’ve heard this anywhere but here, Iran provided all of that footage, the tape, of taking that money off that airplane.
“Over there, where that plane landed, top secret, they don’t have a lot of paparazzi, you know,” Mr Trump said. “The paparazzi doesn’t do so well over there.
“They have a perfect tape, obviously done by a government camera, and the tape is of the people taking the money off the plane. It’s a military tape. It’s a tape that was a perfect angle, nice and steady.”
Trump also claimed Hillary Clinton was behind the negotiations that led to an unmarked cargo plane loaded with $400 million being sent to Iran on the day four Americans detained in Tehran were released but officials have denied the delivery was a ransom payment, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The payment was apparently part of a separate negotiation regarding seized assets dating back to the Iranian revolution, according to NY Daily News.
The comments from Mr Trump come only days after the Republican presidential nominee received clearance to view classified intelligence briefings.
A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign declined to comment on where Mr Trump saw the video, the Huffington Post reported.
