The three-month-old made its public debut yesterday at Buffalo Zoo.
The zoo will hold a naming contest on its Facebook page but, until then, she has been nicknamed 'Luna'.
She was born on November 27, weighing 1.5lbs, though she now weighs in at 23lbs, and was unveiled as the zoo announced the next phase of fundraising for a new £12 million polar bear exhibit. they still need about £2.6.
The zoo says it is one of only two zoos in North America to have polar bear births in 2012.
The cub is still too small to exhibit but she is visible via closed-circuit television at the zoo on weekday afternoons.
