‘Armed and dangerous’ husband on run after wife found shot dead
Military-trained Aaron Pennington is main suspect in the killing of 30-year-old Breanne Pennington
A manhunt is underway and an “armed and dangerous” husband is on the run after his wife was found shot dead at their Massachusetts home.
Police say that military-trained Aaron Pennington is the main suspect in the killing of 30-year-old Breanne Pennington, who was found gunned down at the family property in Gardner on Sunday.
Massachusetts State Police are still searching more than 400 acres of woods at a Boy Scout camp in Gardner. The 33-year-old’s white BMW was found in the woods around three miles from the crime scene by a hunter.
The United States Air Force says that Mr Pennington served on active duty from 2015-2022 and left the reserves in February with the rank of senior airman.
Investigators say that they are working on the assumption he is still alive and described him as armed and dangerous.
“Please no one in the public go out and try to look for this guy,” Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early, Jr told reporters on Tuesday.
Court documents state that the couple had marital issues “for quite some time” and that Breanne Pennington was planning on moving to Texas with the couple’s four children.
The children ran to a neighbour’s house on Sunday, saying that their other was crying and they coulda not find their father.
When police arrived, Breanne Pennington was found dead after having been shot in the face and authorities began the search for Aaron Pennington.
The children are now in the care of the Department of Children and Families.
Mr Pennington, who officials say has a history of mental health issues, is described as white, 6ft2 tall, weighing around 175 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
