One man is dead following a road-rage confrontation in the drive-thru of a McDonald’s in Florida, authorities said.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. Sunday at a McDonald’s in Daytona Beach, Florida, according to Fox 35 Orlando.
Officers responded to a reported shooting and found a woman giving a man CPR in the parking lot. The man had an apparent gunshot wound.
Another man approached officers and identified himself as the shooter, police said.
The incident started with a road rage disagreement in the drive-thru lane at the fast-food restaurant, according to the report. An altercation ensued and the shooter claimed he fired in fear of life.
There was no word on what led to the dispute in the drive-thru lane, or what led the shooter to fear for his life.
The victim - identified as Brian Collins, 30 - was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
Authorities continue to investigate the shooting, and police have not filed any charges against the shooter. The name of the gunman has also not been released.
