Woman in Mickey Mouse pyjamas arrested on suspicion of four murders

A woman who was allegedly last seen wearing Mickey Mouse pyjamas after carrying out a shooting in Clare County, Michigan, has been arrested.

The woman, 54-year-old Judy Boyer, was apprehended on Thursday after shooting four people, including two men, aged 39 and 36, who were injured and taken to hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

An 85-year-old and 61-year-old were found dead following the shooting, which took place on Wednesday evening in Clare, a city about 160 miles (257 kilometers) northwest of Detroit.

It remains unclear exactly what happened to the two bodies that were later found at the property.

Police had been searching for Ms Boyer since the incident unfolded in the afternoon and were able to carry out an arrest at 10.40am on Thursday.

The shooting occurred around 4pm at a residence on South Harrison Avenue south of Surrey Road in Clare, according to ABC12 News.

It was not clear if Ms Boyer, who was allegedly seen wearing pyjamas on Wednesday, has been charged with the deaths of all four people, whose names have not been formally released by police.

Clare County sheriff John Wilson, who described the woman as “armed and dangerous” in the aftermath of the shooting, did not say if there was an established motive.

An investigations is underway and further details are expected.
