In a Facebook post over the weekend, Mr Graham, son of Billy Graham, wrote that he was moving the bank accounts for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association away from Wells Fargo because it had an advertisement featuring a lesbian couple, the Charlotte Observer reported.
The Facebook post has received nearly 93,000 likes and more than 41,000 shares, as of Monday afternoon.
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association did not respond to questions seeking comment.
Mr Graham’s statement comes as more companies are coming out to support gay rights. The ad he references in his Facebook post features a lesbian couple using sign language to tell their adopted daughter, “We’re going to be your new mommies”.
Gay marriage has ridden a wave of momentum in the US recently and the Supreme Court is now considering a landmark case on gay marriage, which Mr Graham has used social media to rally against.
