Your support makes all the difference.A Boston man has been arrested after allegedly screaming at a black woman to get out of his neighbourhood – despite the fact that she lived there, too.
In a three-minute video posted to Facebook over the weekend, the man can be seen standing on a dark, residential street, yelling at the videographer to “get the f*** out of my neighbourhood”.
“This is my f***ing neighbourhood! You’re not bringing this s*** into my neighbourhood!” the man screams, despite the woman telling him that she lives there, too.
“I’ll f***ing knock you out!” he yells at one point.
When a police officers arrives on the scene, the man tells him to ask the woman if she lives in the area.
“I don’t care where she lives,” the officer responds. “It’s none of my business.”
The woman, NeNe Judge'Mayo, had pulled over at the intersection because of a detour in the road, according to a police report obtained by The Independent. Ms Judge'Mayo and a friend, who is also black, were searching for directions when the man approached them and apparently started screaming insults.
“All I did was pull over my motorcycle to park and this man went crazy asking me why am I in his neighbourhood,” Ms Judge'Mayo wrote on Facebook. “He was even more mad I was on a motorcycle. I think I had a case of racist profiling.”
Ms Judge'Mayo’s video of the incident has been viewed more than 600,000 times.
The man allegedly reemerged from his house and continued his racist tirade even after the motorcyclists left. An officer working a crime scene nearby observed the man walking up and down the street, repeatedly yelling: “F*** that n*****".
The man then began pulling on a traffic sign pole located at the crime scene, according to the police report. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Detectives assigned to the department’s civil rights unit are investigating the incident to determine if additional charges are appropriate, and are attempting to make contact with the victims, according to a spokesperson.
The suspect was arraigned on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court in October, according to local news reports.
Ms Judge'Mayo posted a video on Facebook on Monday of herself and several other motorcyclists hanging out in a local restaurant.
“Nervous to ride alone for a few but my team got me!” she wrote.
