Your support makes all the difference.The man convicted of killing Chris Kyle – the Navy SEAL featured in the popular film American Sniper – and another man has been moved to a psychiatric prison for evaluation, the Associated Press reported.
Eddie Ray Routh, who was convicted last month of the murders of Mr Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield, had been in a prison near Abilene, Texas. He was moved on Monday to a prison near Houston that has superior medical facilities.
A spokesman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said it is not known how long Routh will stay at the psychiatric prison.
During the trial, which captured attention across the country due to the popularity of the American Sniper film, Routh’s defence team claimed he was not guilty by reason of temporary insanity, but jurors rejected that claim and sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
