18-year-old woman stabbed during visit to Florida nudist resort

An 18-year-old was attacked on Sunday while visiting a Florida nudist resort.

Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue officials were dispatched to the Sunspot Gardens resort in Loxahatchee around 9:30am.

Captain David Toohey told the Palm Beach Post that the victim was treated at the scene and airlifted to the hospital.

Officials said that they are unsure if the assailant was a resident at the resort.

“We’re very happy that she’s OK,” Sunsport Gardens Manager Morley Schloss told the Associated Press. “I’ve been living here for 17 years and we’re never had anything like this.”

Mr Schloss added that local law enforcement officers searched the surrounding areas of the resort with helicopters and police dogs.

“It’s really scary. It’s not anything we’ve ever had before,” he said. “It’s not anything we’d ever expect to happen again.”
