Each flight, at 35,000 feet, will last approximately 90 minutes, and there will be rotational seating so that every passenger gets a chance to see the night sky. Winners will need to be at the airport 90 minutes before departure to participate in a preliminary talk.
The three flights are: Birmingham Airport: Thursday 10 April, departs 22.00 (5 seats) in a Fokker 100 - astronomer Rod Tibbet.
London Heathrow: Tuesday 15 April, departs 21.30 (30 seats) in a Boeing 737-500 - astronomer Rod Hine.
Glasgow: Wednesday 16 April, departs 21.45 (15 seats) in a Fokker 100 - astronomer Mark Pollock.
Postal entries should be sent to: Star Flights, c/o Editor's Office, Independent on Sunday, I Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5DL and be received by Tuesday 8 April, and must include a daytime telephone number. The winners will be notified by telephone on Tuesday. If you don't win, you can book a flight for pounds 89 through Saltaire Travel on 01274 585545. Saltaire Travel acts as agent for ATOL 3125.
