(RED), the charitable brand coalition spearheaded by Bono to combat Aids in Africa, has raised $58m (about £30m) since it was launched in 2006. Now, it has produced an array of limited-edition Love (RED) products for Valentine's Day, including an Armani bracelet designed by Julia Roberts, a manicure at Cowshed in Soho, central London, or chocolates from Montezuma's.
Sophie Dahl is the face of the campaign, and no doubt she will be spending tomorrow staring dreamily into her beau Jamie Cullum's deep brown eyes (and getting a crick in her neck in the process?). Sophie, photographed for the campaign by Rankin, says she is "honoured" to be supporting (RED)'s cause. Every penny of money raised by the sale of Love (RED) products will go directly to the Global Fund to Fight Aids in Africa. So far, 45,000 people have been provided with the antiretroviral drugs necessary to fight the virus thanks to the (RED) campaign.
