Your support makes all the difference.Danielle Cable, the fiancee of road-rage victim Stephen Cameron was today said to be "overjoyed" at the life sentence given to his murderer.
Her evidence played a vital part in yesterday's conviction of Kenneth Noye for the cold-blooded murder of the 21-year-old electrician he knifed to death in anger when he was losing a road rage fight on a slip-road of the M25.
Ms Cable, 21, witnessed the 1996 murder. Today she said in a newspaper interview that the verdict was "a dream come true", and dedicated it to the memory of Stephen.
Ms Cable, who was not at the Old Bailey to hear the verdict, told The Express: "When the police officer phoned me from the court to tell me about the guilty verdict I was overjoyed. I could not believe it at first.
"But it will never bring back my Steve. I just hope he's looking down from heaven today and smiling.
"This is for him."
The Old Bailey jury rejected Noye's claim that he acted in self-defence when he killed Stephen Cameron and found him guilty by a 11-1 majority.
He stabbed the unarmed Mr Cameron in the heart and liver as Ms Cable - who has since assumed a new identity for fear Noye's underworld associates might have attempted to stop her from testifying - screamed for help.
Her fiance was left bleeding and dying beside the road while Noye sped off in his Land Rover Discovery.
Noye fled to Spain the next day. Two years later he was traced by police and identified by Ms Cable.
