Liverpool's King boast is a bad dream

Tourism officials have been left red-faced after claiming that Martin Luther King wrote his famous "I have a dream" speech at Liverpool's Adelphi hotel.

The boast appears in a tourist guide entitled Liverpool Discovers that was commissioned by the city council.

Historians say there is no record of Dr King even visiting Liverpool.
