Of the seven people taken to Ealing Hospital, only four were detained over night, and none are critically injured. All the injuries were incurred from flying glass and debris. Those affected were thought to have been standing within about 20 or 30 yards of the explosion.
The worst affected, a man in his 20s, suffered a broken collar bone. He will be operated on later this morning.
One man in his 50s received a serious injury to the back of his head, another received a superficial chest injury and suffered ear damage. The fourth person to be detained overnight, a woman, had a back injury.
The woman police officer injured in the blast and two others were released last night.
All the patients were described as being in high spirits, though understandably shocked by what had happened.
