Annie Foster was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1955. Her poems have appeared in The Honest Ulsterman, National Children's Homes Christmas Anthology, 1983, The New Lake Poets (Bloodaxe, 1991), The Poetry Book Society Anthology 3 (1992). This poem appears in Flambard New Poets 1 (Flambard, pounds 7.95).
