Police hunting a dangerous prisoner who was on the run with his two abducted children said last night that he had been seen by an officer in Brentwood, Essex, but had run away.
James Moore, 35, broke out of Everthorpe Prison, north Humberside, while his son David, six, and daughter Clare, four, were being snatched from his former wife in Grimsby. He was serving eight years for false imprisonment and firearms offences following an earlier abduction of the children.
