Tim Sainsbury, the Minister for Industry, said provision for industrial and commercial sites included pounds 16m in the North-east, pounds 24m in Yorkshire, pounds 21m in the East Midlands, pounds 7m in the West Midlands and pounds 4m in the North-west. Extra help for Training and Enterprise Councils in coalfield areas was worth pounds 9.8m in the North-east, pounds 15.2m in Yorkshire, pounds 6.7m in the East Midlands, pounds 4.7m in the West Midlands and pounds 2.1m in the North- west, he said.
