BARLOW CLOWES: The Government is to pursue a claim for damages of 31m awarded by the High Court against Peter and Pamela Clowes, Anthony Nelson, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, said in a Commons written reply. The Government would pursue continues to pursue 'vigorously' any claim which might reduce course which might had a chance claims which show the prospect of 'reduce the cost to the taxpayer of the ex gratia payments to scheme for Barlow Clowes investors,' he said.
