NURSING HOMES: The Government is concerned about cases of abuse or neglect in the report into standards in nursing homes by the UK central council for nursing, John Bowis, under-secretary for health, said. However, he noted: 'The number of incidents leading to disciplinary proceedings is small in relation to the considerably increased number of residents in nursing homes.'
