WAR PARADE: Former soldiers from Germany, Italy and Japan will not participate in next year's events commemorating the ending of the Second World War, John Major confirmed. The Prime Minister said that 'peace and reconciliation' would feature strongly in the programme, which would include 'a service in St Paul's Cathedral and a parade in central London'.
