Your support makes all the difference.CIVIL PENSIONS: Senior military officers and civil servants who are retired early 'in the public interest' will have pensions linked to the full Top Salaries Review Body awards, in spite of the decision to reduce the cost of public-sector pay awards by staging them over three years, Michael Portillo, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, said.
Normal pensions will be based on retirement salary, but those who retire early will have pensions based on the salary they would have received at the end of the staging period, he said.
