Doctor wants school pupils to be told about homosexual sex
Pupils at school must be given the full and frank facts about gay sex, David Bull, a doctor, will tell the Tories' first gay summit today.
A campaign similar tp the "AIDS: Don't Die of Ignorance" adverts in the 1980s is needed to halt rising levels of sexually transmitted disease among gay and straight youngsters, hesays. But schools must play their part, Dr Bull will tell the summit.
Dr Bull, a regular on Richard and Judy's sofa, first caused controversy by talking about sexual health on children's television programme Newsround.
He acknowledged that his call for education on gay sex would ruffle some Tory feathers.
"People say that if you teach kids this, you encourage them to have sex at an earlier age," he said. "That is rubbish. Children are developing faster ...There is a difference between education and promotion."
