Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The artist behind the hit children's book the Gruffalo has produced exclusive merchandise in support of a march next week aimed at winning a new Brexit referendum.

Axel Scheffler has designed a range of products including a tote bag, sweatshirt and baby bodysuit ahead of the People's Vote and The Independent’s March for the Future which is set to take place in London on 20 October.

The march has similar objectives to The Independent’s Final Say campaign calling for a referendum on the final Brexit deal – the petition has been signed by more than 850,000 people so far.

In June more than 100,000 people marched on parliament to demand a referendum on the final deal.

The March for the Future is expected to be bigger and the largest anti-Brexit demonstration to date.

A number of household names from the film, music, comedy and sport industries have all pledged to pay for people to travel to London for the demonstration.

Stars including Delia Smith, Sir Patrick Stewart and Ian McEwan are among public figures who have pledged support to help people from their home towns.

They have each donated more than £1,000 to sponsor a coach to transport activists to London.

Dozens of coaches have already been booked and campaigners are hoping to announce more celebrity sponsors in the coming days.
