We have received 18,757 forms through the post, while 13,416 readers have logged on to the website and signed the petition online.
Readers have expressed their enthusiasm for the campaign and have sent messages of support. One said: "Keep up the good work. This campaign for democratic reform is exactly what British democracy needs right now."
Many have sent messages expressing hope that the Government, which was elected last month with the smallest majority since 1832, will heed the message triggered by the campaign.
The number of people adding their names to the campaign increases by at least a thousand each day.
