A19-year-old woman who stabbed her daughter to death after giving birth because she was too terrified to seek help was given three years' probation for infanticide. Nicola Lee, 19, of Newcastle upon Tyne, was too afraid of her father's anger to admit she was pregnant, Newcastle Crown Court was told.
