Boy, 12, arrested after teenage girl stabbed in Kent

Police are appealing for witnesses after being called to a report of assault in Sittingbourne on Friday at around 3.55pm.

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenage girl was stabbed in Kent.

Police are appealing for witnesses after being called to a report of assault in Sittingbourne on Friday at around 3.55pm.

The girl was taken to a London hospital to receive treatment for her injuries, which were described as being consistent with a stab wound.

Kent Police said she remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Officers are urging for anyone with information, CCTV or footage of the incident to contact the police.
