A transgender man who wore a body suit and insisted the lights be kept off when he seduced a woman he met on Facebook may now face jail for sexual assault.

Kyran Lee, 25, of Gainsborough, used an online alias - and, later, a sex toy - while pursuing a relationship with a female friend in 2012.

The victim only discovered that her boyfriend - at the time a pre-transitioned transgender man - had a female identity when she was told he was working at a local McDonald’s under his birth name.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at court last year, but sentencing was adjourned while he faced a second trial.

The details of the assault have now been released after a Contempt of Court Act order was lifted.

Lincoln Crown Court was told that Lee, who used the identity ‘Joey G-Star Crislow’ online to begin a relationship with the woman, a single mother, had sent her presents - including an engagement ring, the Daily Mail reported.

Prosecutor Jonathan Straw said he told her he had a daughter, and had also sent her photographs of himself, "suggesting himself to be a tall, tanned muscular young man".

"Throughout this time she [the victim] said she wanted to meet him, but the defendant made excuses," Mr Straw said.

When they eventually met, Lee wore a thick jacket and a hat "to appear more manly", the court heard.

"They spent time together and shared a bed," Mr Straw said. "The defendant wore a bodysuit and the lights were off."

Lee was heard to have performed a sex act on the woman, now 27, before using the sex toy to have intercourse with her.

“The offence took place three weeks after they met," Mr Straw added, as reported by The Star. "The defendant gave the victim oral sex. Then with one hand on what she thought to be his penis he penetrated her. He used a sex toy.”

The woman complained to police when a friend told her about his previous female identity.

Lee told the court he had been born female but had "felt like I was a male" since the age of 15 or 16.

He will be sentenced in December.
