Your support makes all the difference.A Conservative Party aide has died after falling over when he was getting out of a taxi during his stag do in Greece, an inquest has heard.
Ben Davies suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to hospital on the the island of Mykonos in June 2017.
He was flown to hospital, near the Greek capital Athens, later died.
Coroner Graeme Hughes recorded a conclusion of accidental death at the inquest in Pontypridd.
Davies, a senior member of staff at the Welsh Conservatives was due to marry his fiancé Emily Russ. The couple had just purchased their first house together in Cardiff ready for married life.
After studying at the London School of Economics Davies went on to get a master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
Mr Davies was initially an adviser to the Liberal Democrats in 2010, before volunteering for the Conservatives in London.
He then went to serve as deputy chief of staff for the Conservative group sitting in the Welsh Government.
After his death Jayne Cowan, the Conservative councillor for Cardiff, said: “Ben was a great figure on the campaign trail, he was very bright and very articulate. He had this fascinating sense of humour, you remembered when you're in his presence even if there's 10 other people there.
"He was special, it's absolutely tragic."
