Your support makes all the difference.A man died and another was seriously injured when a light aircraft crashed in a field in Kent.
The 51-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the crash site in Postling near Hythe, and a man in his forties was airlifted to hospital in London.
Police, ambulance crews and firefighters rushed to the scene after the crash was reported at about 2.05pm on Sunday.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
A police spokesman said: “The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is investigating the incident.
"However, police remain at the scene and will prepare a report for the coroner.”
Police and investigators were still there early on Monday.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: “A man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and another man was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London.”
The aircraft, which was a Tiger Moth according to KentOnline, had only the two people on board.
