Your support makes all the difference.An independent investigation was under way today after a teenage pedestrian was hurt in a collision with a marked police car as it responded to an emergency call, a senior officer said.
The 19-year-old from Middlesbrough suffered head injuries in the collision on Windsor Road, Saltburn, Cleveland, at 1.24am, Inspector Mark Pitt said.
The man was taken to the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Mr Pitt said: "The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission and an investigation is being carried out.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information in connection with it is asked to contact Inspector Mally Suggitt on 01642 326326."
