The heaviest storm to hit Britain in five years is causing various travel problems. Check below for the latest travel information and see if your service is affected.

Trains

The following services are disrupted:

South West Trains

Trains are running a reduced service and passengers are advised not to travel. Customers with a single or return ticket dated Monday 28 October are free to use these on Tuesday 29 October.

Amended services are running on trains between: Kinsgton to Shepperton; Chessington to Epsom; Suburban Lines to Alton and Basingstoke; Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon to Surbiton; Hounslow Loop; Ascot to Guildford; South West Mainline; Portsmouth to Southampton/Eastleigh; Romsey to Salisbury; London Waterloo to Salisbury; and Salisbury and Exeter St Davids.

Arriva Trains Wales

Buses are replacing trains between Rhoose and Bridgend until further notice.

Chiltern Railways

Some routes are affected. Passengers may use Cross Country, First Great Western, London Midland, London Underground and Virgin Trains services, though other train operators are also affected by poor weather conditions.

Any tickets for travel on Monday 28October will be valid on any train on Tuesday 29 October.

Cross Country

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Leicester are now running normally.

East Coast

Passengers are advised not to travel. Reduced services operate between Peterborough and London Kings Cross. Passengers may use: CrossCountry services between Doncaster and York, Newcastle or Scotland, and ScotRail services on any reasonable route.

East Midlands Trains

Disruption at Radlett and St Albans. East Midlands will not run any trains in or out of London St Pancras International for the rest of the day, with trains starting or terminating at Bedford. Passengers can use tickets from Monday 28 October on Tuesday 29 October

First Capital Connect

Passengers are advised not to travel. There are very limited services in operation from: London St Pancras International to Brighton; Bedford to Luton with no connecting service between Luton and London; London Kings Crossto Peterborough; and Moorgate to Welwyn Garden City.

London Blackfriars to Mitcham Junction service is running, calling at all stations but only in one direction. Cambridge to Kings Lynn trains are running but may be delayed by up to 15 minutes.

Passengers may use London buses and London Underground services on any reasonable route.

Passengers with tickets dated today Monday 28 October, will be valid for travel tomorrow on Tuesday 29 October.

First Great Western

Bedwyn to London Paddington services are only operating between Bedwyn and Reading.

First Transpennine Express

Routes affected: Northern Rail services between Hull and York; First TransPennine Express services between Hull and Manchester Piccadilly; Hull Trains between Hull and London. A broken down train is causing disruption through Selby for up to 60 minutes.

Gatwick Express

An amended service will be in use until further notice between London Victoria and Brighton; East Coastway; Mid Sussex; Oxted lines; Milton Keynes; and Metro. The Gatwick Express service is running normally. Passengers may use London Underground and London Buses.

Grand Central

There is disruption at New Southgate, meaning trains are unable to run between Peterborough and London Kings Cross. Passengers may use their Monday 28 October tickets on Tuesday 29 October.

Greater Anglia

Passengers are advised not to travel. Greater Anglia and Stansted Express services are affects. A number of services from London Liverpool Street have been suspended. The following services are operating an amended service: London Liverpool Street to Chingford, London Liverpool Street to Shenfield, Norwich to Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft, Sheringham, London Liverpool Street to Shenfield.

Hull Trains

Problem between Peterborough and London Kings Cross. Trains may be cancelled at short notice. Problems with trains from London Kings Cross to Hull.

London Midland

There is an extremely limited service running between Northampton, Milton Keynes, Watford, and London Euston. The Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey service will be suspended on Monday and Tuesday due to damage to the overhead power lines. Replacement road transport is in operation.

London Overground

No service between Camden Road and Richmond/Clapham Junction, and between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction. There are minor delays between Highbury & Islington and New Cross/West Croydon/Crystal Palace. London Buses, London Underground and the DLR are accepting tickets. There is a good service between Euston and Watford Junction.

Southeastern

An amended service is currently running. The only routes still suspended are between: Deal and Dover Priory; Bat & Ball and Sevenoaks; Eynsford and Shoreham; and Swanley and Ashford International.

All routes are expected to be open by 17:00 except for the Deal to Dover Priory line which will be closed for the rest of the day. Passengers may use their tickets on High Speed Services, Arriva/Fast Track buses between Gravesend and Ebbsfleet International (High Speed ticket holders only), Docklands Light Railway, and London Underground on reasonable routes.

Southern

All routes are now open except the Tonbridge to Redhill line is still blocked, and there are no services between Redhill and Reigate. London Underground and London Buses are accepting Southern tickets on all reasonable routes. A normal weekday service is planned for Tuesday 29 October.

Stansted Express

All services suspended until further notice.

Virgin Trains

There is are line problems on trains from London Euston, Glasgow Central, Birmingham New Street, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Chester, and Wolverhampton.
