Your support makes all the difference.A mystery winner is sitting on an unclaimed Lottery jackpot of more £3.6 million, it was revealed today.
And time is running out for the winner of the £3,681,197 prize.
The ticket was brought in the parliamentary constituency of Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, in the Highlands on September 23 this year.
The winning numbers for that Lotto draw were 23, 25, 28, 41, 46 and 47.
They have until March 22 next year to come forward and claim their winnings.
If they fail to meet the deadline, the money will be added to the lottery's Good Causes fund.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "One lucky and unsuspecting Scot could be ringing in the New Year as a multi-millionaire.
"The news is likely to see players of The National Lottery frantically searching in drawers and under sofas for a mislaid ticket that, for a winner who bought their ticket in the Highlands, would definitely make a great start to 2010."
If the mystery winner comes forward they will join an ever-growing group of lottery millionaires in Scotland.
In April 2000, Charlie and Liz MacDonald from the Strathspey village of Newtonmore won £1.1 million in the draw.
And in 2007, Royal Mail worker Angela Kelly, from Glasgow, scooped the entire £35m jackpot on EuroMillions, while Mark Page from Dundee won almost £5m in the national draw in the same month.
