Hayley Gascoigne reportedly had a seizure and suffered a cardiac arrest in front of her parents and could not be resuscitated.
The 32-year-old took her seat at the family court hearing after visiting the toilet and soon turned pale and then started shaking. Details of the ruling have not been revealed.
A first aider ran to the scene and a barrister called the emergency services.
Her mother screamed: “Hayley. Oh My God. Call an ambulance. Please save her please.”
Members of staff at Hull Crown Court placed a series of screens around her as a man in his early 20s was accused of taking a photograph, the Mirror reported.
The man was ordered by others at the scene to delete the image.
Ms Gascoigne was put onto a trolley and taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, where she was later confirmed dead.
Her father said the “stress” of the trial played a role in his daughter’s death.
"My daughter died in my other daughter's arms. She died because of the stress,” Mr Gascoigne said, according to the Daily Mail.
Police have launched an investigation after allegations from a relative that she may have “taken something” in the toilet before becoming ill.
