Hauliers and farmers angry at what they see as Government inaction over fuel prices have threatened to hold a mass demonstration in London if their demands are not met.
The People's Fuel Lobby announced that it planned to stage a mass rally to protest over fuel prices in London's Hyde Park soon after November 13 - 60 days after fuel blockades sent the Government into crisis and the deadline originally set by the hauliers for action to be taken.
Andrew Spence, a senior member of the lobby, said: "We will be going into Hyde Park on foot on the 60th day, November 13, and we want as much support as possible from the public.
"Our message to the Government is if we don't get what we want we will push for a vote of no confidence.
Organisers hope that as many as a million peple will turn up to put even more pressure on the Labour Party over the issue.
