Your support makes all the difference.A man was left with a broken jaw after a fight over the last empty seat on a Tube carriage during rush hour turned violent.
The incident happened at 6:30 am on a west-bound Jubilee Line service at Canning Town.
The Daily Mirror reports the fight broke out after the alleged victim placed his bag on the vacant seat to claim it as another man went to take the empty space.
A 30-year-old man from Forest Gate, East London, was left with a broken jaw as a result of the fight and was taken to hospital.
A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH. He has been released on police bail.
Investigating officer DC Michael Blackburn said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was on board this service and who may have witnessed the incident.
“The victim suffered a nasty injury and I urge anyone to come forward if they have any information which could help in the investigation.”
