Your support makes all the difference.Police were appealing for witnesses today after a man was found dead in a freezing city centre pond.
The man, who has not yet been formally identified, is believed to have been the victim of a tragic accident after falling into the fountain in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on Friday night.
His body was found the next day by two children.
The accident was captured on CCTV footage at around 10.30pm on Friday, as temperatures plummeted to below freezing across the UK.
West Yorkshire Police said the man was seen tripping up and stumbling into the ornamental pond on Channing Way, near Bradford Magistrates' Court.
It is believed ice formed over his body during the night after he was unable to get out.
He was not found until Saturday afternoon when two boys made the discovery as they walked past.
A police spokeswoman said the man's family had been informed.
Officers are now appealing for a man seen walking in front of the victim before the accident to come forward as it is believed he may have seen what happened.
