From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. New CCTV images appear to show the suspect behind the Parsons Green tube carriage explosion, which injured 30 people.

An 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man have been arrested and are being questioned by the police.

The new images show one of the alleged suspects walking past the Ecco La Vera Pizzeria restaurant on Vicarage Road just after 7am on the morning of the attack, just minutes away from the address where the suspect lived with foster parents.

After the explosion on the District Line tube, photos showed the open Lidl bag on the floor of the abandoned carriage, with wires and flames protruding.

A spokesman for New Scotland Yard told The Independent that they would not comment on new footage or images during a live investigation.

The images add to more CCTV captured of the suspect near Sunbury-on-Thames, in Surrey, around 6.50am, 90 minutes before the incident.

Dressed in a grey tracksuit and red hat, the suspect can be seen walking with the same bag, head down.

The main suspect, the 18-year-old, was arrested on Saturday morning in Dover, where he was reportedly buying a ferry ticket to Calais.

He has been identified as an Iraqi refugee.

Pictures of the second suspect, 21-year-old Yahyah Farroukh, have been released.

He was arrested outside the chicken shop where he worked in Hounslow on Saturday night.

He was also a refugee. Both were fostered by the same couple in Surrey.
