At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The 21-year-old disappeared without trace more than six weeks ago after getting a taxi home from a night out in Hull.
She was last seen walking near her home in the port city just after midnight on 1 February and detectives said they feared she “may have come to some harm“.
The body was spotted close to Spurn Point and Grimsby Docks on Wednesday afternoon and was recovered with the help of an RNLI lifeboat.
Humberside Police said on Thursday afternoon they could not confirm the identity of the deceased woman until after the postmortem examination, which was due to last the rest of the day.
“We have been in contact and informed those that needed to be made aware of the recovery,“ the force said in a statement.
“Formal identification is still yet to take place and we remain unable at this stage to confirm her identity.
Police had previously said it was “too early for any identification or confirmation of gender to be made”.
Detectives have issued a series of appeals for help tracing Ms Squire, a Hull University student from West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.
The last known sighting of Ms Squire was just after midnight on Friday 1 February at the junction of Beverley Road and Haworth Street in Hull.
Last month police released CCTV footage of four potential witnesses on Oak Road in Hull close to the junction with Clough Road at around that time.
Her family have also made public appeals for witnesses and released footage of the student singing in the car.
Mother Lisa Squire said: “As a family, we are really struggling. The whole family miss Libby beyond belief.”
