Indian Olympics officials arrested in Glasgow on alleged assault charges
Two men were arrested on Saturday in separate incidents on suspicion of assault

Two Indian Olympics officials are believed to have been arrested in Glasgow on suspicion of assault.
Sky News reports its sources have confirmed the arrests of the officials, claiming one of the men is part of the Indian Olympics Association, and a member of the Indian contingent at the Commonwealth Games.
Scotland Police said it had arrested two men on alleged assault charges on Saturday. The men were arrested separately, for two respective incidents in different parts of the city.
Police said a 49-year-old man was arrested in Glasgow’s city centre following a report of alleged assault, while a second man aged 45 was arrested following a report of alleged assault in the west of the city.
Police anticipate both men will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
