Two people have been arrested after a man allegedly brandished a knife in Hatton Garden.

Police were called to the scene around 2pm and responded with two police vans and a police car.

A Metropolitan Police Service spokesperson told the Evening Standard officers were called to reports of a man threatening someone with a knife.

The spokesperson said no armed robbery had taken place.

One man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

The other was arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a police officer.
