From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

A new football based quiz has seen pundits hidden in pictures of huge crowds watching a match between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Among those in the throng are former Reds defender Jamie Carragher, football presenter Kelly Cates and boxing expert Johnny Nelson.

And in the image of the Man City stand (see the main image at the top of the page) are rugby ace Will Greenwood, cricket expert Michael Atherton and F1 commentator Martin Brundl

You’ll have to scan the crowd carefully to spot them all, as their faces blend in seamlessly with their fellow supporters.

The puzzle was created by Sky Sports ahead of this weekend's showdown between the high-flying clubs.

“The competition between Liverpool and Manchester City looks to be fiercer than ever this year," said presenter Kelly Cates. “Liverpool have so far been able to get the better of Pep Guardiola’s side on a few occasions, and will be hoping to do the same again this weekend to lay down a marker in the title race.

“But with stars like Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling in good form for City, this looks like it could be a classic encounter.”

Sky Sports will broadcast the showdown at Anfield from 4:30pm on Sunday.
