Dozens of firefighters are tackling a fire near West Ham's London Stadium.

Video footage of the blaze at a disused warehouse shows thick black smoke billowing over the Olympic Park.

The London Fire Brigade was first called at 7.28pm on Sunday and sent 58 firefighters, eight fire engines, a fire rescue unit and an aerial ladder platform to the scene in Wick Lane, Hackney.

"Twenty-seven 999 calls were received by Brigade Control to this very visible fire that could be seen for miles around," the Brigade said in a statement.

"Part of the first and second floor of the building are damaged by fire."

The fire was brought under control by 9.41pm thanks to the efforts of crews from Homerton, Bethnal Green, Leyton, Stratford, Poplar, Stoke Newington and Ilford.

No one is believed to have been injured. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation
