Your support makes all the difference.A man and two children escaped with their lives last night when their car split in two after a crash in Coventry.
The vehicle careered off the carriageway of the Fletchamsted Highway in the Midlands town shortly before 11.40pm on Saturday, and sustained severe damage.
The driver and the two young passengers, both under 18-years-old, were able to leave the car unassisted, despite suffering minor injuries.
Following the accident, the front axle of the car remained on the road, upturned, while the remainder of the vehicle became lodged in undergrowth on the verge.
Emergency services, including two ambulance crews and a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, rushed to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said that the man and the two children were able to leave the vehicle and “other than a couple of minor scratches, were uninjured”.
“Because of the level of damage to the car, all three were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further checks, just as a precaution,” he added.
