Two five-month-old baby boys have died after they were found unresponsive at a house in Bridgend.

Emergency services were called to the address in the Wildmill area of the town around 10am on Saturday.

The brothers were two of a set of triplets.

They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

It is believed one line of inquiry is sudden infant death syndrome, otherwise known as cot death, is the cause of death.

The police did not confirm or deny this line of inquiry.

A South Wales police spokesman said: “The five-month-old children were conveyed to hospital where tragically they were later pronounced deceased.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths, which are being treated as a tragic accident.”

The investigation continues.
