Your support makes all the difference.The death of a 10-year-old boy who was found hanging in woods appeared to be a "tragic accident", police said.
Officers were called to Hutton Woods, Guisborough, at 6.05pm on Saturday and the boy was pronounced dead at Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital.
A post-mortem examination carried out yesterday afternoon confirmed the cause of death was hanging.
An investigation is continuing, but Cleveland Police said the child's death was not being treated as suspicious.
The boy's name has not been released.
Det Sgt Lewis Matthews, of Redcar and Cleveland CID, said: "The boy's death appears to be a tragic accident and obviously his family are devastated by what has happened.
"Inquiries are ongoing, but we do not believe the death to be suspicious."
