The identity of Britain's biggest ever lottery winner remained a mystery last night. Nobody came forward to claim the £84.4m prize yesterday. It is known the winning ticket for the continental EuroMillions draw on Friday night was bought in the UK but there are no further clues to the winner's identity.
The size of the win tops the £56m collected by Gloucestershire couple Nigel Page and Justine Laycock in February. The winning numbers were 1, 17, 31, 43 and 47 with Lucky Star numbers 2 and 3.
