Your support makes all the difference.Hundreds of Airbnb hosts in the London area are offering accommodation for free to British Cross relief workers volunteering from across the UK on the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
"We are heartbroken by the Grenfell Tower fire and our thoughts are with everyone affected by this awful tragedy." Airbnb said in a blog post.
"Since last week, Airbnb has been working closely with local agencies managing the response, including the British Red Cross, to understand how the Airbnb community can best help those in need.
"The British Red Cross has identified an urgent accommodation need for volunteers from across the UK who are supporting relief efforts in London.
"Red Cross emergency teams have been providing practical and emotional support since Wednesday morning after the fire broke out. They are now helping to coordinate the response at the community assistance centre and are helping support those affected.
"To help, Airbnb is looking for London hosts who are willing to open their homes for free to Red Cross staff and volunteers, who are working around the clock to support those affected by the fire.
Using the site's Disaster Response Tool, registered hosts have been eliminating their fees, there currently being 25 pages worth of free listings.
Airbnb is waiving all fees associated with these bookings. Hosts are still fully protected by the Trust and Safety programs in place for regular bookings.
