The family of a victim of the Marchioness riverboat tragedy was awarded pounds 15,424 damages, at the High Court in London. Sally Smith, 48, of Beddington, East Sussex, whose daughter, Jane Rourke, 20, died in the accident in 1989, was awarded pounds 10,657. Her grandparents were given pounds 1,500 and pounds 2,177 was awarded for funeral costs.
