A manhunt has been launched after a woman was found strangled to death at a flat in London.

Zoe Orton, 46, was found “following concern for the welfare of an occupant” at an address in McMillan Street in Deptford on Monday.

A post mortem gave the cause of death as “neck compression”.

There have been no arrests.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime unit are leading the investigation.

Orton’s next of kin have been informed.
