Woman on trial over stiletto attack on boyfriend

A woman will go on trial today accused of wounding her boyfriend by stabbing him through the eye with a stiletto heel.

Staci Hargreaves, 33, from Stalybridge, Cheshire, will face Bradford Crown Court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Her boyfriend, Gavin Taylor, 28, was taken to hospital following the alleged attack in the back of a taxi.

The pair were travelling home from a night out in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, when the incident happened in February.

The victim was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary before being transferred to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.
